Green and Coral Unakite Reversible Wire-Wrapped Stone Pendant Necklace
This Unakite stone may be on the small side, but it provides a large amount of equisite coloring and details. A tiny, single loop is the only ornamentation I gave this design to avoid taking attention away from the stone's greens and coral pinks, reminiscent of a Monet painting.
I made the pendant reversible so it can be worn with either side showing.
It's such an interesting stone, I had to include a few extra photos.
The pendant is made from 99.9% pure copper wire, bare and without any treatment or coatings.
**Because it's natural copper, you should definitely expect the wire to naturally oxidize and darken over time and for it to be darker when you receive the pendant, compared to the photographs in this listing.
This unique stone measures almost 1 inch (3 cm) long/tall and 3/4 inch (almost 2 cm) wide. The pendant's total height is approximately 1 7/8 inches (4 1/2 cm) tall.
Includes a silky-satin black cord in your choice of two lengths: 18 or 24 inches, each with a 2-inch extension chain. The metal clasp and chain portions of the cord are lead- and nickel-free.
Unakite is a type granite composed of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and colorless to milky quartz. It forms when granite is altered by hydrothermal fluids, and plagioclase in the granite is transformed into epidote.
Unakite is sometimes erroneously included as a type of jasper.
Varied in function, unakite is used as a construction material, an architectural stone, a lapidary rough, and a gem material.
Unakite is said to be a stone of vision, opening the third eye and useful for scrying. It is also believed to be a stone of balance, grounding the self while bringing emotions and spirituality together. Among crystal healing practitioners, unakite is used to support convalescence from illness.
